Sometimes I like to go for a walk in old cemeteries. You often find beautiful gravestones with sculptures that are supposed to honour the dead. This incredible representation of a mother who lost her child deeply impresses me. One inevitably thinks about the transience of life. I have created this picture in shades of green. Green stands for hope and confidence. So I hope that this young mother has found new courage and confidence despite the great pain over the loss of her child.
