The fairies were thought to be particularly active under the light of the full moon. On those brightly illuminated nights fairies, who lived in beautiful palaces under the sea, were said to come up on to the land to revel and converse with the fairies of Ireland, at fairy mounds and around hawthorn trees, as Lady Wilde explains, ‘on moonlight nights they often come up on the land, riding their white horses, and they hold revels with their fairy kindred of the earth, who live in the clefts of the hills, and they dance together on the green sward under the ancient trees, and drink, nectar from the cups of the flowers, which is the fairy wine.’
I don't know if fairies really exist. They perform small, good miracles and make the world a better place. The world needs a lot more fairies. I hope you like my little fantasy of the moon fairy.

Das Bild wäre ohne die Frau imho vielmal schöner. Anstelle ihrer Überdimensionalität und allzu realistischen Darstellung hätte ein schönes Schiff, so wie Du sie so gut darstellen kannst,die poetische Ausfüllung gänzlich verwirklicht.

Danke lieber Harald. Mir gefällt meine Darstellung des Meeres und des Mondlichtes hier sehr gut. Da das ja ein digitales Bild ist werde ich da bestimmt noch mal daran arbeiten und dann vielleicht ein Schiff oder die Felsen einer Insel einarbeiten. Liebe Grüße :)
