Palazzo Contarini Fasan, also Casa di Desdemona, is a palace in Venice right on the Grand Canal. It is a characteristic building for the 15th century, which belonged to the Contarini family. Over the centuries a legend has grown up around it, making the building the house of Desdemona, a character from the drama Othello by William Shakespeare.
The basis for my work was a photograph. My goal was to make it look like an old painting, so there is almost nothing left of the original photo. I hope you like it, and greet all our dear friends in Italy and Venice.
