Description
In anticipation of our next visit to Venice next week I made this beautiful view of a canal in Murano. This part of Venice is located on a small island within sight of the old Venice and is world famous for its glassblowing art. The somewhat smaller houses and palaces testify to the centuries-old prosperity, wealth and reputation of the craftsmen there. It is very fascinating to walk along the edge of the canals and through the narrow streets and enjoy the special flair of this unique city!

Thanks a lot, Phil. On Saturday we will see these fantastic places again and come back with countless impressions of Venice, Tuscany and Rome. I am especially looking forward to the Sistine Chapel in Rome, where I will probably see Michelangolo's famous frescoes for the first time speechless.
